What Does the Church Teach Us During Lent?
Lent is a time of preparation for Easter, which is the greatest event of our faith. During the 40 days of Lent, we are invited to follow the example of Jesus in the desert, where He spent 40 days of fasting and prayer. Lent is therefore a journey of penance and spiritual renewal .

Fasting is a way of giving up certain foods or pleasures in order to focus more on God. Fasting is not a simple deprivation, but an act of spiritual discipline that helps us control our desires and make room for greater union with God. -
